Meet Martin and Michèle…

Martin Prätzlich is a multifaceted individual whose life revolves around the intersections of psychology, yoga and music. His journey led him in 2009 to the profound practice of meditation. In numerous retreats worldwide he discovered the power of mindfulness in fostering self-awareness and inner freedom. Above all, he is deeply committed to reminding us of the profound value of living fully in the present moment and thus making this mind/heart training for our lives practically tangible. As a psychologist, yoga and mindfulness (MBSR) teacher, Martin guides others on their path to physical, mental and emotional balance, emphasizing the union of breath and movement. He passionately shares the extraordinary potency of pranayama (breathing exercises). Rooted in a family of musicians, Martin loves to enliven his classes with singing, guitar or handpan to tap into musical vibrations as a source of healing and connection. He founded mind-effect.ch and heads the meeting centre of the Basel Cancer League where he offers various courses for people affected by cancer.

Michèle Melzer was 19-years-old when she found a black & white Hatha Yoga Book from the 60’s. The images and content of the book, her first contact with yoga, fascinated her and started her on this path of practice. Since then, Michèle’s life journey has been blessed with the obstacles and joys that have led her into the role of a teacher. Michèle has been teaching regularly since 2016 when she completed her 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Vinyasa Krama (Basel). In 2018 she deepened her studies by taking an additional 25-Hour Training with Mark Stephens (USA) in Anatomy, Alignment and Adjustments. Michèle’s classes are rich and energetic flows that invoke healing, grounding and positive transformation. She especially loves to guide a deep Savasana, because that is the moment where the magic can really happen. In addition to the yoga, Michèle brings a background and interest in Energetic Healing (Reiki), Meditation and Inka Shamanism. She weaves these insights into her yoga classes with the intention to guide you towards your own bliss and inner wisdom.

You can find out more about Michèle on her website.
